Assalamu Alaykum and Hello. This post will brief on some tools I regularly use: Part 2 to make research on domain acquisition, pricing and sales. You can read the part 1 here.

Note: This is not a paid promotion of any website or tool

What are these tools?

*DomainTools

I use this website to check for whois record, IP history, Hosting history and how many times domain has dropped over the years of its existence. Also, it gives you information on some TLDs and ccTLDS that are available/taken. This particularly comes in handy for Brandable Domain research.

*Archive.org

This website gives you information on the first time a domain was registered. It also gives a crawled screenshot of what a domain was previously used for. This assist in determining domains that have been used for fraud, spam or adult content.

*NameBio

This website provides sales history. This include sale price, date and venue. This is one of the best websites to check and compare sales history. And it contains alot of reliable data. I use it to check sales data for a particular keyword, trend, extension and niche.

*Squadhelp

I use Squadhelp for brandable domain research. It helps determine the popularity and ‘brandability’ of keywords.

*BrandBucket

I use brandbucket for brandable domain research. It helps determine the popularity and ‘brandability’ of keywords.

I’ll stop here. Part 3 of this post on some of the tools I regularly use: part 2 will list and brief on more tools.

I hope you enjoy the read and can figure out some valuable tools from this post.
