Assalamu Alaykum and Hello. This post titled “As a Brandable Domain Student: Ten Sales From Beckplanet” will review 10 sales that eventually become a company/business as reported from brandable investor, Beckplanet. You can see his original post here and here.
I will be making reference to my previous post on categorisation of brandable domains and analysing each sold domain to see where it fits. Hence, I will be discussing each domain under these headings:
- Category
- Keywords Strength
- Keywords Alliteration
- Length
- Number of Syllables
- Application
- Radio Test
But before I start, NOTE:
- This is not an investment guide because the sample (10 domains) is not enough to draw a valuable conclusion.
- Some of the keywords are trendy keywords. Meaning, at this moment they may not be as strong as they were when registered and when the sale occurred.
- However, it will be interesting to see what sold and what is used for what.
Let’s start…
INNO/TERA
*Category
One word with an obvious root word (Inno) and a suffix (Tera).
*Keyword Strength
“Inno” is a decent keyword meaning Innovative, innovation. It’s a keyword popular with start-ups especially in tech industry. When paired with a supportive suffix, it makes a good brand name.
*Keywords Alliteration
It is absent in this domain.
*Length
8 letters. Great!
*Number of Syllables
4 syllables is quite long for an 8L domains. However, the pronunciation flows quite good.
*Application
As stated earlier, Inno is a keyword popular with Tech startups. Looking at the website, it says:
Innotera helps your ecommerce business grow sustainably.
They provide; Ad management, SEO, Business Analytics etc
*Radio Test
To me, Inno/Tera passes the radio test.
SWIFT/RESTORE
*Category
Two keyword domain
*Keywords Strength
Swift is a good prefix, paired with a strong keyword it gives a great domain. Restore is also okay, and paired with Swift, it becomes even a better keyword. Overall Swift/Restore is a good domain name.
*Keywords Alliteration
Absent
*Length
12Letters is usually the maximum I target. The length is okay.
*Number of Syllables
3 syllables is good.
*Application
The domain is currently used by a Cleaning and restoration company. Other possible uses can be; Data backup and restoration in the tech industry, Auto repair in Automobile industry, metal restoration, etc.
*Radio Test
It passes the radio test.
BLOCK/AURA
*Category
Two keyword domain
*Keyword Strength
Block is a strong trendy keyword due to blockchain. Aura is mostly used as a prefix, but can be used as a suffix too. The strength of the Block keyword compensated for this domain in my opinion.
*Keyword Alliteration
Absent
*Length
9 Letters is good.
*Number of Syllables
3 syllables
*Application
The website says;
Building Security Token
Ecosystem with BlockAura Blockchain
*Radio Test
It passes the radio test.
METRIC/LION
*Category

Metric is a popular brandable keyword in tech, analytics and consultancy industry. Lion is a top animal brandable keyword.
